Our story

Care is human work. So is our software.

MicroCare was built by people who've seen how chaotic running a care service can be. We believe carers deserve tools as thoughtful as the care they give.

Our mission

To bring calm, clarity, and confidence to care teams. Every shift, every task, every observation should be easy to record and easy to find. No clipboards, no chasing, no guesswork.

How we got here

MicroCare started as a side project when our founder watched a coordinator spend three hours every Sunday building shift rotas on a whiteboard, then another two hours typing them into emails. There had to be a better way.

The first version was just a shift scheduler. Then we added tasks. Then medications. Then patients asked if they could see their own care plan. Then carers asked for a way to log incidents without leaving the patient's home. Bit by bit, MicroCare became what it is today: a single calm place for everyone involved in care.

What we believe

  • Carers come first. If it doesn't help the person doing the work, we don't build it.
  • Patients are people. Their dashboard isn't an afterthought — it's a first-class experience.
  • Software should be calm. No notifications for the sake of notifications. No dark patterns. No upsells.
  • Data is a duty. We protect it like it's our own family's.

Who we're building for

We work mostly with small-to-mid UK care companies — typically 5 to 50 staff, 10 to 100 patients. We're not trying to replace the giants in care management. We're trying to give the smaller teams the same calm, capable platform.

Our values

What guides us

❤️

Empathy first

We design with the carer's day in mind — every screen tested with the question "would this annoy me at 3am?"

🔒

Trust matters

Patient data is sacred. We treat it like we'd want our own family's data treated.

Simple wins

If we can't explain a feature in one sentence, it probably shouldn't exist yet.
